I haven’t explore Gasometer area so far and this morning I finally did it. I decided to use only the 50 mm lens as too much dust was laying on it lately. Therefore I took a few geometric impressions.
Noting more easier. Just take a train, open a good book and before you know it – you are somewhere far away. That is basically the story of my last Saturday. Except that the “far away” was around 80 km from Vienna and “somewhere” was Melk – a beautiful little town in Lower Austria.
I also took the time to exercise different frames or themes and I had a photowalk in & around Melk. The result – a mixed photo set.

Note to myself: A wide-angle lens is a must.
I had the plan today to go to the Botanical Garden, but since I found it closed, I simply had a photowalk around the blocks of Vienna’s third district.
I decided to focus the theme “colors”, as a friend of mine was teasing my predominant black & white photos by explaining me how my camera can actually take color pictures too.
Ok, now here they are… a few urban colors:

First time in Schweizergarten, a small park in Vienna’s third district. A paradise for ducks and pigeons. And some other unidentified flying creatures.
Spent a bit more than one hour talking shots. Enjoyed the sunset. Froze pretty good. Extremely happy.
Now let the weekend begin!
